Jala Tsebo Seminar Series

A generation of orphaned children is on the increase:
Is South Africa coping?

UNICEF has just released a report on the imminent increase of orphans and child headed families in South Africa. The current wave of criminal violence sweeping through the country further exposes these children to victimization and exploitation. The Youth Violence Prevention Programme of The Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation (CSVR) therefore invites all the relevant role players - caregivers, researchers, govt reps, schools, NGO's, etc - to a seminar to deliberate on finding sustainable solutions to this challenge. Two recently published booklets on Child Headed Households and Violence will be launched to contribute to better insights confronted.
