The State of Criminal Justice:
Building Respect for Justice and Human Rights

The Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation would like to invite you to a full-day seminar on the theme of building respect for justice, the law, and human rights in South Africa.

As a country still emerging from an authoritarian political dispensation and affected by an ongoing crime crisis, South Africa faces major challenges in building respect for justice, the law, and human rights. This seminar examines issues reflecting the conflicts and tensions that are part of this process.

Speakers: Aubrey Matshiqi, Theresa Edlmann, Carnita Ernest, Lukas Muntingh, Romi Fuller and David Bruce.
