Policing in Partnership? Community Policing and Public Order Policing, an Integrated Approach

This paper examines community policing, how it evolved in a policing environment and how academics look at it. It questions whether community policing can provide a basic framework for all police practice and discusses the changes in policing public order and the use of the principles of community policing in the management of public space and their integration with public order policing.
