A report by the Center for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation into the causes of violent crime in the country has been finalised.
Responding to a parliamentary question from the Freedom Front Plus, Minister Nathi Mthethwa said the report was being considered by the Committee on Justice, Crime Prevention and Security.
Former minister Charles Nqakula ordered the investigation in September 2006.
The FF Plus's Pieter Groenewald said the details must be made public: "They're considering this report at this moment and we want to know how long they're going to take to consider this report because it's widely important for the people of South Africa."
