
The Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation (CSVR) is a non governmental organisation which
envisions societies that are peaceful, equal and free from violence. CSVR aims to understand and prevent violence, heal its effects and build sustainable peace at community, national and regional levels. We do this through collaboration with and learning from the lived and diverse experiences of communities affected by
violence and conflict to inform innovative interventions, generate knowledge, shape public discourse, influence policy, hold states accountable and promote gender equality, social cohesion and active citizenship.
CSVR seeks to appoint a Finance Intern to be based in Johannesburg. The position will entail a full-time, 12 months contract. The successful candidate will work as part of the CSVR’s Finance Department.
Provide a wide range of finance administrative support services to the organisation.
File, generate reports, and capture data.
Assist with audits and general finance ad hoc responsibilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
Must be a South African Citizen.
Must be between the ages of 18 and 34 years of age.
Preference will be given to individuals from a previously disadvantaged background.
Have never held a full-time position before (this is a FirstJob opportunity) and preferably have not participated on a learnership or internship before.
Live within 40 kms from CSVR offices, which is situated at 33 Hoofd Street, Braampark.
Are not currently in fulltime studies and able to attend this internship full time.
Are willing to be subjected to a credit and criminal check or any industry specific checks required for your job role.
