Southern African Regional Assessment Mission Report – Angola

Unlike some of its Sub-Saharan Africa counter parts Angola's transition from war to 'peace' was the result of a clear and definitive military victory by the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA). Through this method of transition you most often find a disparity in the living conditions, the overall well-being and the progression of citizens. The following report is a study of the repercussions this mode of transition had on the future of Angola's transitional justice landscape and the legacy it has imparted to the modern day issues of violence and trauma.
