To be Someone: Status Insecurity and Violence in South Africa

The subsequent monograph presents a number of key theories as to the causes of violence among young people in South Africa. It does not attempt to provide a single, definitive solution to the problem but rather seeks to analyze what the authors feel are a number of key factors impacting on children and young people, and which potentially combine to increase the incidence and levels of violence among South Africa's youth and children.
